The 2014 Valsetz Reunion Timetable
The 2014 Valsetz reunion event site will be located in the same location as the 2011 event. This
is at the remaining concrete foundation from the equipment building located in
the old town site of Valsetz.
At this point we are anticipating between 200 to 300 people camping Friday through Sunday (500 day use people on Saturday), in the open grassy areas on both side roads that connect directly to the main road in front of the event site (see site map). The event will have several people assigned to monitor the attendees to ensure the property is not damaged, people remain respectful and no camp fires are lit. There are at least two of us with Law Enforcement backgrounds that will monitor as well.
We will also be placing several portable toilets, wash stations, recycle cans and garbage cans in the event and camping areas for proper sanitation.
We will be fundraising (t-shirts, charging for camping, etc.) to pay for the cost of the event (roughly $6000). We are LIMITING the camping to the event site only and only to those persons involved in the reunion. This is certainly not a free camping weekend for people who just want to come to Valsetz to camp. We will also be contacting the media for some good publicity and to clarify the restrictions mentioned above.
